How to choose a marquee for your event
The best marquee starts with your event plan. Guest numbers matter, but so do the tables, entertainment, catering and space people need to move around. Use this guide to prepare a brief, then compare the structures with your site in mind.
1. Decide how guests will use the space
List each activity you want under cover: a seated meal, standing reception, dancefloor, stage, bar, buffet or quiet seating. A marquee that holds a group standing may need a different layout when everyone is seated. Give us your expected guest numbers and the type of event so we can consider usable space rather than a simple headcount.
2. Look closely at the site
Measure the available area and note trees, flowerbeds, walls, buildings and changes in level. Think about where guests will arrive and where delivery vehicles can reach the site. A photo or rough sketch is useful when you first contact us. The final choice also depends on the surface and installation requirements, which we can discuss with you.
3. Compare shapes and layouts
